-My name is Laurie and I shoot primarily with Nikon DSLRs (D700 and D200) but I wanted something smaller to take on a recent personal trip to GA to meet my son when he returned to the United States at the end of his second and hopefully last tour of duty in Iraq. I found the HS10 to have most of the options I wanted in a compact all in one digital zoom camera.

-When I went to register the HS10 the process took me to this site and since the registration process included membership in this community I decided why not. It is always fun to "meet" new people who share the passion for photography.

-I don't do much post processing to my images with the exception of formal portraits and glamour shots. Usually just slight curves adjustments and perhaps White Balance adjustments suffice or the occasional black and white conversion.

-I shoot RAW and I primarily use Lightroom in post and photoshop CS2. I know CS2 is old but since I don't do much Post processing anyway it is more than adequate for portraits so I see no reason to upgrade.

-You will not see any HDR images in my galleries or blog posts since they simply are not my thing. I have nothing against HDR it just isn't in my nature to do them.
